I would give Malahat Auto Parts - owned by Jeff Montomery - a try. I know he stocks and will order in JDM parts. They are also an auto wrecking yard. south island shysters had a couple 80's a while back apparently. they're actually fairly decent guys to deal with.

x2 on malahat, i have dealt with Jeff (and Trevor, back in the day) for years.

had no idea that they did the JDM thing... they often have a few Toyotas and import trucks around. last time i was up there, it was just 4skinners and a couple of IFS pick ups.

south island imports is where stumpy saw the 80s. they apparently have a 55 and a rat fawked 40 too. i have had a few dealings with south island, they were good to me.

i think the JDM 80 was a gasser.
