Ok. Next question… the image doesn’t show the secondary air injection runners that are on the factory manifold. Do these eliminate that?
Looks like they do. You'd have to install an SAIS bypass kits from Hewitt Tech. Its a system that fails over time anyways and is a headache for some due to the codes it sets. I did it on mine. I was looking into headers because I have a Harrop SC, tuned with HPT (2014 Model LX). I've had it installed for almost a year. I believe the cats are failing because of how it's been sounding/feeling the last couple of months. I spoke with Keith over at dirty deeds and my tuner and both mentioned that this is common on supercharged 3ur engines due to them.having to run it really rich under boost to protect the pistons from giving up the ghost (really it's the ringlands that tend to fail because of the tight ring gap). Running the engine that way turns the exhaust into a flame thrower pretty much, leading to the eventual failure of the cats. So I've been looking at ways to address it. I've had LTs on other vehicles, including my 2uz GX. Not looking to go that nuts. I want minimal exhaust resonance entering the cabin and with LTs it's nearly impossible to do that well. I'll probably have the mid pipes, which house the cats, modified by cutting them out and replacing with resonators in order to keep things as mellow as possible.
