I am glad you have been able to get 12.5 gallons in the tank. I am not saying it does not hold 12.5 gallons. I am saying for whatever reason I only get 11.6 gallons to transfer. I have averaged 11.641 gallons over the 9 times I have filled the Aux tank. Does not matter which gas station. The Aux tank is transferred while driving, so the level of the ground is always changing. I have tried turning the pump back on several time after it shows that the tank is empty with no noticeable increase in the amount transferred. The reason I am pointing this out is so that someone who just got the tank does not try to force more gas into it than it will take. As it says in the install instructions that Ward just posted, do not top off the tank after the auto shut off of the pump.

As I have said, I love the tank and would not hesitate getting it again.
:)

I have a few follow up comments after reading the entire thread:
  • I think the LRA guys are doing a good job at importing the product and making it available to the US.
  • There are some fitment issues and I chose to go with more "OEM quality" hoses and fittings via Slee, that was my choice and I am happy with it and had no problem spending additional money for better parts.
  • I do think there is an issue with significantly increased main and sub tank volumes and the standard evaporative system in the 200. Engineering a solution for this would likely require an additional vacuum pump tied into the CAN bus. I don't expect this to be forthcoming or inexpensive if we see it in the future. I have learned to work around /with this limitation.
  • 200s are expensive: full - stop. I'm sure I have more than $100K in mine and that's just the way it is (I bought it with 23K miles on it). I knew this going in and am happy with my decision. 200s are not for everyone. There are less expensive alternatives.
  • Having a sub tank is an extremely valuable modification. Space is at a premium in my rig and I need to be as efficient as possible in everything I do with it and do to it. Having to haul Jerry cans and fill from them versus having a sub-tank and transferring fuel while driving is just not a viable option for me. Does the sub tank cost a lot, to some yes? See comment above about 200 expense.
  • I've spent more than 6 weeks in the field with my 200 in 2019 and been happy with the sub tank since it was installed.
  • YMMV :flipoff2:

Thanks for chiming in. My partner (Georg, @orangefj45), our partners in Australia (Long Range Automotive) and our partners here (the shops that purchase, install and in many cases, improve our products) are all working together to deliver a valuable user experience to our customers - and many of them are providing us with valuable feedback to expand and enhance our product offering and the services that support those upgrades.

From the first day, specialty shops like Frisbee Automotive, Slee Offroad, Cruiser Outfitters, Wanderlust Overland, Arizona Toy Pros, Ed Martin Toyota, Tactical Application Vehicles, JPR Automotive, Duggys Garage, Complete Automotive, Overland Cruisers, Main Line Overland, among many others, have been valuable contributors to our ongoing effort to take a good product and make it better - to meet the needs, preference and pricing demands in this market.

We support the value-added modifications provided by our dealers. No two rigs, customers or shops are the same and in each case, the final product as implemented is a reflection of the unique attributes of those variables.

Georg and I are grateful and not shy about celebrating the value of their contributions. Its a team sport. Please keep "sending it" and we will do our best to put your input to work.
