Brown Mtn OHV trails are mild. Not too many miles but good gravel to explore in the surrounding areas and easy access to the BRP if you want some scenic cruising.
Uwharrie is a little closer if you’ve not explored there as well. Stay off Dickey bell Daniel and Dutch John and you should be fine. (Dutch and Daniel currently closed for repair/rerouting)
Croatan natl forest is mostly closed routes due to lack of personnel to Maibrain but still some decent easy exploring
Sandhills state forest. Not sure if within 3hrs of you or not.

Hog back ridge in bland VA pushing past 3hrs and a short trail but great views. Go when dry and should not be an issue. Otherwise some mud holes can be deeper than expected.

Spent some time at Sand Hills State Forest. Its easy, fun, remote area with a lot of off pavement stuff.
