I have a friend that owns a 1992 LC no lockers, can he add lockers to his rig?, we went up to this small mountain and he got stuck in this hole, he couldnt do anything except reversing I was able to go all the way up with the lockers wohhooo!

Input needed, if yes how might cost?

Lockers 1600 for the pair
compressor 180

install depending on if you do the whole thing or have someone do it for you I think anywhere from 50 (just bearing press) - 600? correct me on the install part guys

He can add lockers to his wagon , be up for plenty of dosh though.
Is he looking at ARB air lockers?
(They are the best)

Does he have the CDL switch installed?

Having that should get him out of most situations that many of us encounter. If not, he should not be getting into holes in the first place! :D

Daniel, your sig line says you have a 92 also. What lockers does yours have? I'd imagine he could do to his whatever you have done to yours.

Or toss an aussie locker in and call it good for about $300.

How does a CDL switch get you out of 'situations'? If he puts it in 4 low, the CDL will lock regardless of switches or lack thereof.

Enlighten me.

Where is this mountain, and where is this hole? Oh, and just throw a detroit in there or an ARB. But I really like what Boston Mangler did. Thats getting added to the project list today.

I was just "ASSUMING" that he did not have it in 4 low since it was a "small" mountain. :flipoff2:

Mot ;p ;)

Actually I just forgot that it engages when you put it in 4 low.

You still shouldn't have to with a small mountain though. :flipoff2:

Danniel,

What lockers do you have?

I am yet to find a trail where you "actually" need to have lockers. Maybe, I just always end up taking the right line by accident. Please don't let me be misunderstood :)

Come to Arizona. I've run with and without lockers, and I don't care what anyone says, good driving skills cannot overcome lack of lockers in many situations. Gas pedal can get you out of some, skill can overcome some obstacles, but here at least there's places that even lockers won't get you through, you need a winch. That being said, there's always something else you 'need', but you could probably do without just fine.

-Spike (anyone giving away a winch? :D)

Absolutely! I will take any excuse to go wheeling! I'll even smile if you prove me wrong!
