What 4.0 engine is that? New?

Don't like that rear tire.

Its the same 4.0L V6 found in the 4-Runner and Taco I think.

The new 4Runners and Tacos have the 4.0 liter engine. The '02 and older 4Runners and '04 and older Tacos have the 3.4 liter V6.

They should've put the tire on the roof. Looks like somebody just left it on the rear bumper.

That top-inward slope of the tire looks absolutely stupid. Instead of a front bar, need a rear bar w/ tire carrier sooner.
