Oh my god that is funny as hell! ROTFLMAO! Boyd you have a gift, not many people can deliver such comedy over a computer. Sounds like a hell of a good day to me, Mmmmmmmmmmm Jack and Pepsi's.

By the way to all interested parties he isn't kidding about the size of his back yard. You really can fit 10-15 80s back there.

mkfour not at all trying to hijack you thread, can you make this? You would have a ton of help and it isn't too far from you in mid OC at Boyd's house. I am totally in but unless it is next weekend October doesn't work for me. November anyone.

Anytime works for me. I still need to order the parts and get them delivered. What is delivery from Am. T/Cdan, A week or so?

Mike.

Cool. Delivery time is about 3 days so you should be less than a week. They are very good about getting them out same day if you order early enough.

Boyd - Way, Way to funny! That's great laughs.

Seriously - the offer sounds fantastic and a lot of fun. I can do it 10/6, but 10/7 and the next weekend are out for me due to scout trips. Rest of October and November all look ok.

I've got all the parts from Dan, so I just need to purchase all the necessary lubricants. Will have to do a search on what and how much to buy of all the lubricants. I've got a real jack, stands, plenty of gloves and shop towels to bring.

I'll second Dan's speed on the parts. Just call him, let him know what year your truck is and you want a complete birf kit. Only decisions you have to make are what CC to use and whether you want to upgrade to 100 series pads at the same time you change your rotors.

Will happily bring Ben and Jerry's and a bottle of Jack to see if we really can get Boyd slurring his words!

Can I get in on this also? Even if I just end up watching it would be a good experience to see it done.

O.K. then. How does October 6th sound for everybody? Dogs are welcome.

mkfour - have you ordered your parts yet? If not, you could possibly still get them in time if you order today.

As a general reference to my location- I'm right around where the 405, 55 and 73 all come together, (just south of the airport). PM me for specifics.

What time would you like to start? I have a rule against drinking before 10 am.

Well, it is really more of a guideline. . .

Sorry, that's an outright lie. My rule is the sun must be visible before my first drink (photos are acceptable).

10/6 is good for me. Starting the earlier the better so we can finish in daylight! Is 8 too early?

I want to stop by and drink a beer. I have done front ends on 40 and pkp80's

So its a dozen guys standing around drinking beer while mark does all the work

Man get this on video, how many <blanks> does it take to.....could be lots of laughs. I'll be at the kids soccer games so I'm out.

IAN BTW I have the GPS waypoints for Shedder Cyn now, let’s run it this month maybe 10/20-21?

Um, all these great wheelers in one spot and no dirt? Is there at least a big rock to climb on?

I hope to be there, but I'll have to wait and see.

not the 20 or 21 g-friends uncle is in from the UK. How about the next weekend i have day pass to work on the truck but would rather wheel.

So, it is on! 8:00 am start (Brent must have to golf).

We will be wrenching on grass, so bring some tarps or cardboard to put down (don't want to lose any parts).

Dog friendly, Jack friendly location - no Coke, Pepsi.

PM for directions, see you Sat!

:lol::lol: A man after my own heart.

Saturday sounds good, I have a wedding to go to at 4pm so I will have to leave for that, at about 3:50 or so. :flipoff2:

I faxed Cdan this morning, but I received no reply/fax back.

I'll have to call tomorrow and see what's going on. If the order isn't in, I'll have to try to get the parts from a local dealer. Hopefully they'll have it in stock, but something tells me they won't.

Either way, I'll be there.

Does Man-a-Fre carry birf rebuild kits? I'd prefer to use Toyota parts, but if they're the only one that I can get them from at the last minute, I may have to go with them.

I you order from a dealer in socal they will be able to get them in 1 day. Toyota has a warehouse in LA ful of parts.

ps if you when local Toyota of Whittier would match 1st toyota parts.com so birf re-build w/o wheel bearings 145+tax.

Long Beach Toyota is one of the West coast warehouses and will probably have everything you need in stock (I've recieved more than a few parts fron Dan with Long Beach's labels on them). Kind of funny having parts shipped from Long Beach to New Mexico to me.

I don't know about prices though. The unscrupulous might even return the lower cost parts from Dan in place of the higher price parts found locally. "Eh, I ended up not needing these, please refund my money."

I ended up getting in contact with Cdan and the birf kit w/o bearings and rear u-joints are on their way.

A little over $200 for the kit and $60 each for the u-joints plus $30 for the expedited ride.

I figure I need:
3 quarts gear oil
I can of bearing grease
?? moly grease?? two tubes per side?
2 jack stands
birk kit.

Anything else?
