I was looking to order some parts for my rigs and the thought crossed my mind that all of my sources are still based on when I was in Colorado.

My first thought was to ask specifically about the stuff I was going to order (suspension, transfer gears) but then I thought it would be good if people suggested good places to support for all of our needs. I know I will eventually need an exhaust shop, radiator shop, and an A/C shop so it would be great to have a thread with suggestions of people/businesses we have had good experiences with (or even club members with shops and parts availability?)

What do you guys think?

As far as OEM parts, Toyota Carlsbad gives BnT members 20% discount. Ask for Russ or Adam. I can second RPM for muffler work. I've had them replace a couple cats. Richer Electric in Oceanside for starter/alternator stuff.

I'll throw my hat in there for RPM as well. I've had them do a few things for me and they've always done amazing work. As for Fab shop and people that can do ring and pinion and lot of different parts that you need to have replaced that Bent motorsports in San Marcos.

FWIW I'm taking my FJ45 to RPM in Oceanside for all new exhaust this next week. He's familiar with cruisers but builds race trucks, buggies, does regular stuff too.

On the subject of RPM, make sure they use 3/8 thick flange material. They did my 60's custom exhaust with 1/4 and I went through so many exhaust gaskets. I had WTB in Poway look at it and they pin pointed the too-thin flange material. After they fixed it, never a leak again.

On that note, I would throw WTB in Poway and Wholesale Performance muffler in Escondido as shops I personally have experience with and rust.

I just had my windshield replaced by a guy named Fred Ziro with Fantastic Auto Glass. He only charged me $159 installed. Took him under 30 minutes. He has a spare windshield gasket right now he will sell with a new windshield for $60. He serves all over Southern California. He is out of Temecula. Great guy fast work well done.

Killer deal. Double check he used sealant as well. I made that mistake once.
