local seat repair...

Guys:

I thought I would throw this up for anyone whose front leather is trashed, but second rows are fine. I met up with Moab Bound and it reminded me that I should post this for everyone...

They quoted $175 to make my driver's seat look new (repair + retint the entire seat), but they don't fix pads just the leather, and they don’t remove the leather from the seat. I just took pics and emailed to them. I have a seat heater kit I already bought so I am still trying to figure out what to do as my seat pad is in bad shape and flaking off. I guess I could have the local upholstery shop put in new pad and seat heater then have Fibernew retint it.

Not yet - my mods & maintenance budget was recently consumed by my backing her FZJ80 into my Z-28 netting just under $3000 in body work between the two of them. Dented the FZJ80 just under the DS tail light, wiped out the bumper extension (I had a spare). Punched a hole 2" high and 10" wide in the fiberglass fender on the Z-28.

I'm likely out into April/May now before I do the interior work I'd planned.

Crap! That's a huge bummer. My wife has yet to door ding or do harm in any way to my Mustang, but I'm sure it's bound to happen someday.

Any advice on how not to say stuff or react in a way that results in me sleeping on the couch? I'm still new to this marriage thing... haha!
