Why, these things are all over Canada, South America, Africa, Middle East, and Japan. Not to mention I have see several in the Carribean, like St Thomas, Mexico, Grand Caymen, etc. I believe these Prados are in every country but the US, IMO parts would easier to get for it than a Hummer H3.
I am sure Glenn will be able to handle any work on it fine.
The only ting is the electronic suspension sounds like the KDSS setup on the 4runners, I would watch out for that, but disabling it would be a breeze. Do some research about the longevity of this particular diesel and you should be good.
Would be a perfect WVO candidate. As far as price, if it is truly rust-free, expect to pay $15k-$20k for this truck.
Do it! I would if this was a 4 door Hi lux of 4 door truck type 70 series like the Crocodile hunter had, because I want a bed. If was either it would be in my driveway right now, as I wouldn't be scared to buy an import at all that was in good shape with a clear title. And when I say clear, I mean any title that will allow me to go to the DMV and get it registered. Wouldn't matter if it had issues, or if it was a salvage as long as it could be registered in the US.
