Holy FAWK that is BA!

What's the story on this vehicle as far as ride comfort and reliability? Power? Diesel?
I am going to check into it. Not sure if I could get use to driving a right hand vehicle though.

I was able to get in contact with the seller and hope to take a look at it tomorrow or tuesday.
What does something like this sell for?

They are so rare there is not much to base what it's worth. I think I may go out and check this thing out also.

The newer Prado shared the same frame and such with the FJ Cruiser....it is a turbo diesel...think those were 3.0 Liter diesels. Here is what I could find:

First (Land Cruiser 70-series Prado model: 1990 to 1996)

1990-1996
Toyota Land Cruiser Prado semi long
( JDM LJ78G )

In April 1990, a new type was introduced. The front grille, front fenders and engine hood were redesigned. The head lamp design changed as well. At the same time the sub name Prado was attached, but names like Land Cruiser and Land Cruiser II were still used in other parts of the world besides Japan. Meaning plain or field in Portuguese, Prado the new line from Land Cruiser was marketed toward more on-road purposes, despite a body on frame design which was highly capable off-road.

In Japan it came with electronic fuel injection and a four speed automatic transmission. The 2.4L turbo diesel engine with 97 metric horsepower (71 kW) and 24.5 kg·m (240 N·m; 177 ft·lbf) high torque unit was installed. The line up included 2-door and 4-door versions named LX5 and SX5 respectively. The 4 door was also offered in a higher specification named EX5.

The front suspension was changed to a "shock absorber through spring" design to improve handling. The SX5 and EX5 grades can switch between stages of absorber with a touch of a button. The 22R gasoline engine was upgrade to the 22R-E (electronic fuel injection) engine and the diesel engines were replaced by the 2.8 liter(2776cc) 3L engine and the 2.4 L (2446cc) 2L-T turbo diesel engine was replaced by the electronically injected 2L-TE turbo diesel engine. In 1993, 22R-E gasoline engine was replaced by 2.7 liter (2693cc) 3RZ-FE gasoline engine and the 2L-TE turbo diesel engine was replaced by the 3.0 liter (2982cc) 1KZ-TE turbo diesel engine with aluminium cylinder head. The 1KZ-TE was able to reduce NOx and soot. The dash board was replaced with a new design with minor changes to suspension, brakes, and trim details.

Only thing would be parts...but no worse than any other gray market Land Cruiser.

I would imagine getting parts could be an issue.

Why, these things are all over Canada, South America, Africa, Middle East, and Japan. Not to mention I have see several in the Carribean, like St Thomas, Mexico, Grand Caymen, etc. I believe these Prados are in every country but the US, IMO parts would easier to get for it than a Hummer H3.

I am sure Glenn will be able to handle any work on it fine.

The only ting is the electronic suspension sounds like the KDSS setup on the 4runners, I would watch out for that, but disabling it would be a breeze. Do some research about the longevity of this particular diesel and you should be good.

Would be a perfect WVO candidate. As far as price, if it is truly rust-free, expect to pay $15k-$20k for this truck.

Do it! I would if this was a 4 door Hi lux of 4 door truck type 70 series like the Crocodile hunter had, because I want a bed. If was either it would be in my driveway right now, as I wouldn't be scared to buy an import at all that was in good shape with a clear title. And when I say clear, I mean any title that will allow me to go to the DMV and get it registered. Wouldn't matter if it had issues, or if it was a salvage as long as it could be registered in the US.

Nope. i spoke with Glenn and I decided to pass. I am having to do some home repairs but if I do pull the trigger when business improves I will get a 100.

Mike is pretty set on a 100

Sweet rig for sure, but it is not a very desirable diesel motor. Apparently the L series diesels are like the 3.0L V6's of the gas motors in Toyotas engine history. Slow, and prone to head problems. It sounds like from 1990-1996 Toyota had issues with most motors except the reliable 22RE and 3FE.
