I may go just for fun.
A friend went last year and said there was a lot of waiting around as it is a small place.
But its better than nothing.
Be fun to be able to get in there when its not crowded.

Dave

yeah, I think I'll plan on being a viewer, or entering my truck in the show. I hear there are some pretty intense obstacles and it gets torn up by mid day by the guys with big stuff. Couple of guys here are planning on running it...I may just spot for one of them or something. It will be fun to watch the carnage either way.

haha....she's plenty rough around the edges, but I've been spending too much darn money fixing stuff to get her right, to go out and break something just yet. Thats why I have buddies with jeeps. LOL I'm interested to see what the obstacles are, and if you can get around the muddy ones. Not into cleaning mud for weeks, BUT that little rock garden looked pretty sweet from the small picture.

I went a couple years ago. Its decent for something intown. The small rock garden and obstacles were no wait since everyone was in line for the trail part. The first part of the trail had a steep climb that I popped the front end pretty high, unfortunately didn't get a pic. Then bypassed the mud since it was pretty well dug out.

Hey Mike, where are you? I haven't heard from you a long time. How are you?

Hmm is that a Invite to out wheel the heeps??

Hey guys, I definitely have plans to make it out to this event. After taking a look at a few youtube clips, it looks pretty fun. Not sure if I'll run the truck through just yet, but I am definitely going to watch some carnage, eat some food and redneck it up. Sounds like the dealership, which sells Jeeps, uses the property to demo them or something. Let me know if you happen to be heading that way as well. My guess is that I will be there by 11 or so.

DAMN you guys missed it. What a killer event other than the fact that I was the only TLC I saw all day. Some killer vehicles and a great course. I entered the show and did the playground portion of the course after lunch before we had to jet. The sickest part....my 40 won 1st place in the "Truck and SUV" segment of the show. Hot damn! Here are a few shots. Plenty of Youtube videos are popping up if you search for the 2012 event.

Next year you guys MUST put this event on your calender. For something in our backyards, you shouldnt be missing an opportunity to play around in this event. Just watching alone was worth it. Some nasty carnage too!

So you won "best jeep' ? :)

Just kiddin. Sounds like fun. But mothers day trumped wheelin.

I pictured the events as being crowded with limited wheeling opportunity. What was you impression?

Dave

HAHA....no man, they had about 5 different jeep categories and one "everything else." It was pretty comical.

Wasn't mother's day on Sunday? You sound just like the rest of my buddies who missed out.

I've got a buddy who probably did the course about 25 times....seriously. Getting there early at the start and banging it out before the lunch break was key. The afternoon was busy, but still not bad. There were times before lunch where there might be one truck on the entire "playground" section. Plenty of room, plenty of wheeling to be had.

I'm just saying, it would be nice to have a spot in the field set up with about 5 of us representing next year.

BTW, there were plenty of runners and minitrucks out there.

Yeah we will have to make it next time.
I see events posted on Tidewater 4wheelers sometimes.
I had to travel on Sat for Moms Day out of state or I would have come out.
