Does anyone know of a local guy gal or company that does HID retrofits? I would like to upgrade my headlights but don't know if I have the time for a DIY with a 2 year old running around. I did a fair amount of searching before asking.

I would think that audio express would be setup to do it. Besides them any of the performance tuner shops should be able to as well.

You might want to look into the incredibly bright but cooler LED kits. We installed recently on a mini truck with the 7" round headlight and the light blew us away. Pricing isn't bad either - it was pretty much a plug and play. Youd have to make sure they will fit in your headlight housing first. Doesnt need additional wiring, has plug in ballasts that powers them and fans on the back of the bulb assy to keep it cool.

I talked to a shop today that was steering me in the LED direction. They said it was better all around and cheaper and easier to do. Prob going to have them install and swap fog lights out for Rigid D2s

It was less then $200 out the door with a 5 year warranty. I'm going to go check the place out and I'll be back with more details.
Under $200 for the LED headlights not the rigid d2s obviously!

So I went to the shop and it was $160 per set (2) of LED bulbs so $320 total for the LC. I read some more reviews and looked at a lot of pictures and videos and it seems like the LED bulbs in stock housing lights up what's immediately in front of you but doesn't throw the light far at all. I'm now looking back into the HID retrofit. Might try to tackle it myself.

Like several in csc I also run the HIR's in my 80 and am very happy with the results. Easy for diy as well
