So my 92 Prado had a wet carpet last year and I traced it to a broken sunroof drain. I replaced the broken line and all was good until last week.

We had some really heavy rain and the drivers carpet got wet so I checked out the drain. Lines are still good, but when I replaced the line all I could see was that the line went down into the body 'channels' or sill and then I assumed they drained out. Today, the channels actually filled with water and then backed up into the cab.

I went under and removed a plastic plug from the channel and a tone of water came flowing out.

Can anyway tell me where the drain line is suppose to go after in goes into the floor under the fuse panel?
Is something plugged that I can't see? or should I leave the plug removed and try and run a line back up and connect it to the drain line? Don't really like channels full of water that is for sure.

Thanks, Chris

My 91 Sahara wagon had the drain on the inner rear quarter panel behind the wheel from memory it was the left side but don't quote me. I blew compressed air around the open sunroof and found the drain hole and was lucky to blow the crap out off the piping from sun roof to rear quarter.
Edit
My sunroof was for a right hand drive cruiser maybe left hand drive would be on the opposite side for the road camber. :)

Sounds like the drain hose has pulled up out of it's hole and into the truck hence the water backing up. I know I've found my sunroof drain before under the truck, so will try to take a look again tonight and will let you know where it is supposed to be.

There is 2 drains per side. The front drain lines run down the A pillars and out the bottom of the front fenders.
The rear drain lines run to the back and drain out right after the rear tires. How do I know this? My rear drains pulled out of the holes that went through the body and filled the rear quarters with water which in turn made my sun roof leak bad one day. I had to pull my head liner and side panels to find where all the lines went.
