It is time to respray the LJ78, but first a few challenges
Today we looked at removing the front side panels. All went well and the bottom bolts, door side bolts and front grill bolts holding the side panel was removed. The side panel is 100% detached at the bottom, but not the top.
I was under the impression that seam seal was holding it in place, but I have tried loosing with blades and screwdrivers. No luck. It seems more like it is welded as getting a blade or screwdriver in between the plates does not work.
It seems that I may need to remove the additional bolts holding the inner panel and disconnecting all attached electronics, air filter housing, etc. in order to remove the whole side panel assembly.
A few photos attached for reference.
Any ideas to get only the side panel off and not the inner panel?
Your wisdom and guidance will be greatly appreciated.
