Lets start with a part number 28100-54380 This part number crosses over into a broad range of Toyota cars ,trucks, buses and delivery vans as well as Hilux ,Surf, Prado and 4Runner.
The 2LT also used this starter. It first appeared in 1988 , so there will be plenty out there.
Try another post on the diesel forum and ask about using parts from other starters.
I also believe you can you use internal parts off the B diesel engines but you would need someone who has done that.
I'm sure you will find something in Haiti, it can probably be repaired .
