Hello, kinda out of my element here in the 70 series section, but had a question maybe you guys could help me out with. what wheel bearings and trunnion bearings does a lj70 use? are the wheel bearings the same as a mini truck? I assume they are but am not sure. any help? Thank you. if this has been discussed, please point me there. I searched and found nothing to help me out.

Wheel bearings are the same as IFS 4runner 1991(i think)
Trunnions are same as 85 solid axle mini truck/4runner. .
Get a kit from ebay Australia. Only way to fly. Make sure they are Jap bearings or oem quality (koyo,timken) and not crap
You might need a couple special seals specific to your model.(wheel bearing dust seals inner and outer) Depends on what year it is.

Hi all,
The LJ70 uses the same running gear as the live axle Hilux, so the same trunnion and wheel bearings. I mean, it is just a Toyota SFA axle with different suspension brackets.

thanks guys. i have dealt with 40's and 80's, but never messed much with the 70, besides looking and drooling. I knew the 40's were that way, and the 80's use the same wheel bearings, but different trunnion bearings, so i wasn't sure on the 70 series. Thanks for clearing that up for me.
