Yup, MDT. Good prices. I wanted the poverty pack hood and fenders without side marker lights. I grabbed the doors because they were cheap, even though mine have wing windows and these do not. Good spares are always welcome.

Well, the massive pallet arrived. @Spallet delivered it to the ranch tonight in a rad tray back G wagen. Here’s the 10-year-old for reference. The pallet weighed nearly 1600 pounds.

The sheer amount of goodies stashed inside was epic. I think it’s official, I have almost everything I need to build this truck except a steering column adapter and appropriate length driveshafts.

I was also particularly excited to find the correct steering column for this truck. It connected perfectly to my 2001 harness. 2006 column for the win!

These were really difficult to source elsewhere, but we got a great deal. I only bought two main tanks and two sub tanks, so I have a spare in case I do this again sometime. @Mr Cimarron bought a main and a sub, and @joekatana bought a subtank. It just LOOKS like a ton of tanks.

Not sure if anyone else is needing stuff from the Alabama source; however, I am grabbing a couple truck beds for projects @kc_chevota and tire tie down for @tornadoalleycruiser and will have a truck and trailer going from Kansas City down there if anyone needs mudship.

@2fpower cool! Randomly, a guy from Dallas posted in the FB page that he could pick up parts and bring them to the DFW area...and maybe, MAYBE even to Austin itself.

@mattressking today I used the kei truck to move pontoons around and put a few into deep storage.

I started sorting hardware for the side steps and mud flaps. I am only keeping one set of mud flaps and side steps, lest all y’all think I’m hoarding every part.

I am only hoarding SOME parts.

Today, @Mr Cimarron came over to pick up his 79 tanks, so I’m now down to just five fuel tanks instead of seven. No longer officially hoarding, right?

We took out the old 70 series steering column and put in the HZJ79 2006 steering column and bracket. It bolted up, but it is still off-center, pointing slightly towards the passenger side. Am I going insane here?

looks like plenty of adjustment to go back to the driver side... is the issue you are connecting it to the 80 gear box? the 80 frame is wider, so you would be at an angle to get to the box...

It doesn’t adjust. This is where it sits. I suppose I could grind off those bracket bolts and elongate the holes to re-center it?

I suppose that is not of primary importance right now, I can wait until I install the entire dash and then adjust things for fitment at that time.

Here is where I see adjustment, but I think you are saying the floor mount is where it is, so no play.... hmmmm..

I was going to claim, "my truck's wheel is perfectly centered" only to get to work tomorrow and find that my wheel is off. Ha. I'm 99% sure it's dead straight. Hard to drive a car with a wheel that's off center.

Bent part? Slightly Bent firewall where the column mount bolts up?

Are both columns off center?

Both are off center but the old column is so far off that it won’t bolt up. I will sit down tomorrow and measure everything to see if the column and brackets are the same or different.

Firewall looks good. Doors shut easily so it’s not like the whole thing is bent like a parallelogram.

Weird.

Maybe pull a measurement from the mounting studs on the support for the column to the firewall? Maybe that support is tweaked.

I wouldn't think it would take very much of a slight twist on that firewall mount area to make things really weird up higher where the column mounts. Will be interesting to see what you figure out.
