Anyone have any experience replacing their parking cables? I've got an 89 BJ74 and it binds every time I use it. I've tried to smooth any rough spots and lubricate it but I haven't been able to make it useable. The part number for mine is 46410-60250 (for semi float axle) and is replaced by 46410-62060 (for full float axle). I can get the -60260 from terrain tamer but I don't know what the differences are between the semi vs full floating axle mounting points?

The FF parking brake cable will be longer than the SF parking brake cable.

Thanks Onur, do you happen to know if I would be able to modify it to work? Either through adjustments or possibly cutting a portion off (not sure if it would need a new ferrule)?

I cut the end bracket off another cable and welded to the end of the (incorrect) SF cable that I mistakingly purchased when I built and swapped out for a FF. :meh:

Basically the bracket that attaches at the end of the cable and goes to the hole in the lever above.

I think that makes sense.

I think I'm picking up what you're laying down. Do you think it would work in reverse?
And I thought the SF cables were NLA (which is why I was looking at FF cables), do you think you could still order one?

No worries, I forgot about that.
I just had an idiot moment too - it should be a FF axle right? I've only had US market rigs before and all were SF.

It's a K085 and the few references I've seen on mud are always preceded by "if I remember correctly..." as opposed to a definitive answer.

If your axle housing looks like the one I posted a picture of above, then you have a FF rear axle.

If it doesn’t look like the axle housing above, then you have a SF axle.

RHD/LHD also makes a difference in cable length as well.

OK, thanks again.
Our back plates/axle housing ends are the same so I'm pretty sure I was mistaken and it's a FF axle. Mine's a RHD JDM BJ74 too.
