Hello all,
I am currently in Iraq with a short time to get to Alaska after I get home in NOV and still have to repair and fix up my FJ-40.

Its a all stock vehicle, the suspension is all stock and has surface rust and sagging.
I want to put a 4 inch lift on it probably a Skyjacker, I want to upgrade 2F engine a bit for the cold weather, what do you recommend?

What about the heater, do you all recommend anything larger or a differant theromostat at all?

I want to run 33-35 in tires.

I want a dependable fuctional vehicle that is rust free, got any ideas.
Internet is to slow to attach pics.

I am not to far from Austin Texas is there any cruiser shops that could maybe help me out at all you think in my area?

Thank you all much
and I will talk to you all later
Tom

Military or Contractor? I take it you're probably military and going to be based in Alaska.

I'm in Texas, new to the cruiser world, too. Go to the Texas forums on this board and they'll be able to help you with cruiser shops/parts, etc.

I'm north of Austin several hours, but if you need help with whatever on your way to Alaska don't hesitate to ask (getting things ready to come home, overnight stay on your way up, whatever) my family is always happy to help our country's servicemen.

Good luck with the project!

Tony
