Now that my tranny is fixed and I am keeping my cruiser, I want to make it look more like a man vehicle than a soccer mom SUV. Can I lift it at all without adding a lift kit? If so, do you suggest it or can it cause damage? Is it easy and/or expensive to do. If I can't, how expensive is a lift kit? Thanks for the help.

Lots and lots of information here regarding options. Try searching "cranking torsion bars". Should keep you busy reading for maybe a week or two. You will find posts to meet your specific needs. As for cost try seaching Old Man Emu (OME) torsion bars, shocks and springs. Prices will vary a good bit depending on the dealer. Some like Bilstein shocks others like OME and others ????

You will get a lot of good advice and learn from others to help make your decisions. "Once you start there will be no turning back"

If you can't find what you need here it can't be found!!!
