Old Man Emu Dakar springs. I hear they are a good value. Also look into CCOT HFS springs.

If you want the cheapest possible lift you could get extended shackles and or a body lift. In fact you could do these for free, I did. You can get some lifted springs or go soa in the future if you want, there's always "room for expansion". How big are the tires are you gonna use?

Search is a good tool, though in this case will give you LOTS of things to read. Lifts are personal, so take this with a grain of salt...

Three ways to go IMHO...
shackle lift - pretty easy, but changes the caster on the front axle.
add-a-leafs - as long as you use the long ones, it's a good way to go. Hidden cost is that you should use new u-bolts.
body lift - use the Roger Brown version, also a thread on here about the install.

All three of these can give you from 1 - 2" of lift. They all have +/-. But, all will cost you a few hundred bucks at the most.

Personally, I'd go with the AAL's - since your stock springs are likely shot anyway and these will help give you some lift + improve handling over the worn OEM leafs.

I installed 2in shackles in the front and 3 in shackles in the back. I likes it. Gives it a nice stance and does not look like a station wagon no mo. 33s here i come!

OME or OME Dakar suspension gives you the 2"+ lift you want, but more importantly, provides a much better ride on secondary roads, and a better stance on the highway.

While you're at it, add a rear anti-sway bar from an FJ62 if you don't already have one.

do you really need the sway bar. i didn't. i bought a complete setup, sold it later. took off the front too.

I think that OME is thrown out b/c he mentioned $ as an issue.

That would lead me to look at the BL, AAL, or the ext. shackles.

Search on here and you will get tons of +/- about each of these.
