Lift Gate Dent Repair?

While making several trips in/out of the garage I forgot to pull the lift gate when backing in and oof! Can it be pounded out, pulled out, etc? I'll take any feedback including "you're an idiot".

To get an accurate answer you should take it to a couple local body shops and have them estimate it for you. Even the best photographs tell a different story than an in-person interview.

It appears as though it could be gotten "close" but not "right". Damage on an edge like that, particularly where multiple layers of material are in play, is best left to a pro. A driveway attempt may make it worse.
