I finally had the time to remove my Total Chaos UCA's and replace them with a set of SPC (Light Racing) UCA's last week. It's a relatively easy and fast install. I decided to replace them because for quite some time, i was getting that awful squeek coming from both the bushings and the uniball itself. After removing the TC's, i noticed that it was time for a rebuild as i've been told before (by an ICON rep and TC rep when i had my FJC) that when the uniball has play, it's about time for a rebuild. I have about 20K miles and three years on the TC UCA's. I was wondering how long any of you have been able to keep your Uniball UCA's before a rebuild was necessary? I live here in the northeast so perhaps that contributes to the longevity (or lack thereof) of the uniball. Also, if you've had to rebuild them, where have you sent them or do you do it yourself?

You can buy the bushings and uniball directly from TC.

Are you going to sell them since you already replaced them with other arms?

probably. I have to clean them up first, rebuild them, and then decide.

Should be fairly easy to rebuild yourself. They also offer a tool to press out the uniball.
