License Plates

Is there supposed to be a bracket for either the front or rear plates? Or is just screws? The dealer only has screws and that would mean metal to metal when I install my plates. They don't even stand off the panel.

For instance, this is what I found with the LC100.

Just screw holes which the plastic bracket screw into with a plastic but on the inside so that metal doesn't actually touch metal

I used clear rubber circular pads and stuck to back of plate with smooth side against LC. The ones you use for furniture legs.

So what are our options for mounting a front license plate?

It just mounts screw to plate to mounting hole. There will always be a plate there and I don't like any extra accoutrements for a super clean look.

As for the front, it's built into the actual bumper so looks weird without a plate else I would've left it off pigs or no pigs.

I'm all for the clean look, I'm just worried that the plat will scratch the paint and it'll start corroding or rusting under there. How often do we get to look under the license plate, like never.

There are other parts much more susceptible to rust than the plate area. Worry not!

I've been looking for a solution to the same problem. This is the best option I've come across. though its not cheap.

On the front, this allows you to mount the license plate using the two mounting points already provided with screw clips - no need to punch into the plastic.

My 100 did not come with that bracket. I also used furniture feet to protect the license plate from scratching the body.

The one pictured looks like this which is not OEM.
