license plate lights

wifey informed me, as I was running out the door this morning, that the lights were out... didn't have time to really look at them... are the bulbs accessed form outside or do I have to get at them from indside the rear hatch? '98 LX470..

Accessed from the outside. Use your thumb to slide bulb lens toward the side and they should pop out. Be careful as this area is prone to rust. 194/168 bulb is used to replace.
