Looking at a Lic. Power MIG 180C 208-230 volt input power. The add says I can weld from 3/16 Mig and 1/2 inch with gasless flux cored welding. The price is $ 759.00 including regulator and couple of misc. extras. Sound like a good buy but I need everyone's opinion before I commit.

I just bought the very same model, based on recommendations from friends and welders I talked to. I can't give you any real world feedback, because I'm in the process of wiring my shop and haven't got that far yet.

What did your friends say about that model? Do you trust them~~~? JKD you must you bought the darn thing. Let me know if it was worh it. Praxair has them on sale for $759. Sounds like I'll be saving about 200 bucks. Do you know if I can use Stargon instead of versatile blend gases?

Yes, one of the recommending parties was an independant welding shop owner here for the last 10 years before being bought out by OXARC. IIRC, I paid about the same for the 180C. Yes, the shop owner told me to go with the Stargon.

I prolly won't be able to give you a decent review until I get back from elk camp. That's probably when I'll get the wiring finished up and start working on insulation and sheeting.
