I was playing around on the website today and noticed that you can manually add in service history on your vehicle, I added all the recent fluids and services I have done just so I have an easy place to print everything out. Anyone else doing this?

This is the website I use: Lexus Drivers

Once you sign up and punch in your VIN, it will pull up the entire service history of your LX, and also allow you to update with your own self-reported DIY service. Also has a bunch of other resources - manuals, maintenance schedules, etc.

The service history was extremely useful to me because I bought my 2000 LX with 207,000+ miles. It gave me great peace of mind to know that my LX was meticulously maintained, and that all required and major service was done at the proper intervals over the past 16 years.

It's the only way to pick a Lexus in my opinion. I've purchased an LS430 and this LX470 based upon the records on this owners portal. I've listed my maintenance as well for about the last year.

At 146k at time of purchase mine had 8 pages of service history through the dealer which was accessible through this site. It's a great resource. I have since picked up where the dealer has let off by entering service manually. I used the Toyota owners site previously on my 01 Taco DC and the site is very similar. I still utilize the Toyota site for my wife 14' Highlander.

To add to what the others said, you can plug in any VIN as you shop around then just delete it afterwards, fills in gaps that Carfax doesn't show.

Do the manually added PM notes added by the owner make it into the permanent record for the VIN? Or is it just personal use to keep track of your DIY maintenance?

Yes, the self-reported or non-Lexus dealer performed service that you add in the service history goes into the "permanent record".
