The other day I did a small craft project on a set of Tundra take off wheels I picked up for my winter set of tires on an LX. I didn’t mind the Toyota emblems on it, however, I wanted to see if it was at all possible to replace them with the Lexus ones (if you are detail oriented like me). I picked up a set of 4 new wheel caps from EBay ($12.00) and went to work.

The Toyota emblem is not glued on, it has two pins in the back that you push in and out it pops. The Lexus caps I purchased don’t have the exact same pins, however, they too popped out. The emblems fit in the original slots but they don’t clip on, so I added some super glue to the pins (from the back) and attached them on. They look like they belong there the whole time.

hope some of you find this useful since tundra wheels seem to be plentiful.

Those look dope AF!

I know my AGE is showing when “Those look dope!” somehow doesn’t feel like the compliment I know is intended... :hillbilly:

Any recommendation on what type of glue to get the Lexus emblem to stick to the center hub? About to follow your lead and do something similar with LC200 wheels

3m plastic and emblem adhesive (any auto parts store or Amazon has it) It’s been a while since I did this, so far no issues with the adhesive.

@ROMR NTX heres the write up I used for inspiration, tips, and souring…. Kindly post up your results

Here’s mine, sorry for bad angle… ps I used “smoke” plastidip to tone down the chrome emblem and resprayed the center caps black to freshen them up to match the powdercoated lc200 wheels

Thanks! I will definitely give that a try

Thank you for this thread and write up. It was exactly what I needed to do the same with the SR5 wheels that I put on my GX. Below is the write-up of my process.

For the moment, I haven't used any glue. The new slots that I cut to receive the Lexus logo tabs are so snug that it seems doubtful that anything will be working itself loose anytime soon. Nevertheless, I may go back with some glue when I get a moment.

Thanks again for the inspiration.
