This was brought up in another thread and thought there's enough to discuss that it deserves its own - Many of us car camp or use Roof Top Tents and I think many would agree it's worth the time and effort to have a level rig to sleep in.

Some have had the pleasure of playing the rock leveling game. Fire up the leveling app on the phone. Then find just the right rock(s), strategically placed under the right corner. Low range and creep up on it. May take a few tries, before throwing hands up and calling it good enough. But sometimes, there's no rocks!

Coming form the RV world, there's a couple more tools and tools to deal with this. And some specific ones to the 200-series.

1) Levelers
2) Air Bags!

Levelers

I carry traction boards and have used these to level the rig. Sometimes putting a small 2x4 or rock to get a graduated slope that I can control height with how much I roll up on the board. Boards don't love to be used in bridge configuration so keep the spacer close to where the tire lands.

Some specific tools from RVers. I use the curved leveling ramps for my travel trail and they are great. Since I have airbags, I don't bother with these any longer.

These work brilliantly for leveling the rig side to side or front to back. I originally installed them to manage beyond 2000lb payload when towing, but they are almost more satisfying for leveling as it makes it a snap. Cheap and relatively easy to install, that I would do this just for car camping. The fact they are great for mixed payload, and perhaps even emergencies for AHC, is just a bonus.

How much height adjustment it can do comes down to your own rig and probably how much droop travel there is in the rear suspension. Applicable to both the LC and LX

With the LX and AHC, I'll pick any site that puts the nose level or a tad high. Drop the AHC down to L for easy access to car/tent, but also to maximize the suspension leveling stroke. Then use airbags in the rear independently to level rear height and side to side. As easy as watching the leveling app with phone on tailgate, and put in as much air as necessary to hit the bogey. I haven't needed the full stroke but it's easily got upwards of 6"+ of height adjustment in this fashion.

A couple details about the airbag setup makes this more convenient to use.

1) Onboard air. I imagine a small compact bike frame pump could work as airbags don't take much volume, but avid off-roaders will have OBA anyways. I have a rear air coupler at the tailgate for easy access.

2) Independent airbag valves located at tailgate. This bracket I believe is on both LCs and LXs. Great place to locate the Schrader valves. They can be recessed a bit deep but I'm use to it. Could add extenders to more easily reach.
