Sign up here for the Christmas Parade Run December 1st

Please read and sign up by using the poll option so I can get a head count. Please read this thread as information in found throughout its length.

Since my wife moved me here about a year and a half ago, I have been banging my head into cow patties trying to find something that could pass as entertainment and Cruiser related. One thing did come to my attentions last Xmas while having to go with her family to the annual Lemoore Xmas Parade . . . and I found that anyone can run in the parade as long as a person fills out the paperwork. As it happens, last year 4 or 5 “rigs” tried to show off their 4 wheel drive prowess. These rigs were mostly jeeps with 4 Wheel Parts stickers and add-ons that were really chromie.

So I made the decision last year to sign myself up with my FJ and slap on some Xmas lights, maybe a Xmas tree on the back, and chuck Xmas candies at the kids. Now it gets better since this group has started and I figure it would be a great way for the new South Valley TLCA to get together and do a bit of publicity.

Anyone interested in doing this? It is on Saturday, the 1st of December and the paperwork should be coming out in the paper soon. This could even be an official gathering. Maybe show the heepers how Toyota folks do things.

If you are interested, post here and I can look into it a bit more. I know there is a small fee, but it can’t be too much and most of the other participants had a banner or sign that said who they were. It would be a great opportunity to get more members and have a good time.

our other club 4x4him,has done this in hanford for the last 3 years ...and have won our catagory all 3 years...funn family funwe are going to do hanford this year already....inverter lights foil wraping paper all kinds of things....and go get soome pizza after...

I think that this is a great idea and would be a cool thing to do. I am totally for it. We need to bring this up at the next meeting.

I have a little Colman 12v inverter that I use for camping. It runs radios,12v lights and charges a cell phone or laptop (don't ask me why I think I need a laptop camping). It should work great for xmas tree lights.

James, can anyone join with you for the Hanford parade or is it jsut for your club members? Speaking of that, need to talk to you about the club.

As for the one in Lemoore, I have the contact number and will call this afternoon or tomorrow to get more information.

Sounds good to me,

Though a mini truck isn't very classy, not sure they'd want my little beater in their parade

. Guess I could cover the side with a giant logo or our name

ALl of our rigs are beautiful in the eye's of the one who built it. Any other takers?

hey dan not sure about the 4x4him? check on there forum...as for the lemoore ,you going to spear head it? any plans or thoughts? just light em up an wing it this first year?

Sure I will head it up. From last year, groups had goodies (candies) to toss to the kiddies. We can't have anyone dress as Santa (only one offical to keep the kids from getting confused).

Let me think up a few things and get an official head count. I will post a datedeadline to enter and some ideas.

I think it says this year no throwing candy. I think we should just light up the rigs and put some banners up and call it good.

Anyone know where we can have a banner made up real quick that we could fly for the Parade, at every meeting, and Runs?

Please take a moment and indicate in the poll if you are going. I have the closed date as the 20th of November.

Deadline for entry is the 27th (with Lemoore). If I have the count for all those that want to enter by the 20th I can get the paperwork in. Since we are a club, any active leader can sign us out. I need your name, Plate #, rig and date.

as far as a banner the person making the stickers should be able casey you might want to check on that....$$$ might be an issue right now ?

I will be there. If there is an issue for the $$$ needed for a banner, I will pay for it and the club can pay me back when it gets enough money.
