Left front fender HJ61

Hey guys,

I was wondering if you could help me with a small problem I have. I have some rust eating through my Left Fender on my 89 HJ 61. Before the Cancer spreads I'd like to replace that panel (there's more than one spot of rust on this panel) I've found a couple replacement panels for 89 FJ 62 but I'm not sure if this would fit. I have the removeable fender flares. Has anyone else come across this?

If you take any fender from a (60 series) gasser I'm thinking you will have the vent for the carb fan on it. if that doesn't bother you I think it should work. That said I've not seen a 62 with stock removable fender flares. Someone else should chime in. I know a fj60 fender will fit an hj60.

Being your truck is an HJ61, you shouldn't have the carb fan holes in the fenders but the fenders from any 88-90 FJ62 will fit. The differences come in when you try to put FJ/HJ 60 fenders on a FJ/HJ61.
As long as your truck has 4 rectangle headlights, you are good to go with 62 fenders.
