LED interior bulb replace

My first batch for door were smoking and the diods fell off, so I removed them and contacted PFRAN. He was great, and contacted manufacturer/supplier to determine root cause. There was some sort of issue and I'm sure he can shed more light (pun?) on it.

He did mention that he sent out replacements for me, so will check those out and report back any findings So far I'm loving my dome lights, they make it much easier to work inside the car, vs with a flashlight.

Paul has been super good about these issues though. I haven't got the last set installed yet, but he's sent me three replacement kits to try to correct the smoking issue.
He said the last kit was a new batch, so hopefully this will be a non-smoking kit.

Yup - His support is second to none, as I previously mentioned, my family was shocked at the level of CS being provided

Yeah same here. Support is great. Just bummed to be going to now a 3rd set of door lights.

As for the smaller stacks for the license plate, map lights and corner parking lights: I ordered the ebay ones. They get here Saturday I'll let you guys know how the color is. If they somewhat match the rest of the Pfran kit I can check this off the list.

I don't have running boards so I bought these to replace the blue license plate, map lights and front corner parking lights in the pfran kit. They would work in the running boards too. I'll post photos comparing this weekend.

This is what I'm struggling with right now. What bulbs did you source to replace the blue ones (license plate and door panel)? Also, when I inserted the longer door panel bulbs, the bulb, or something, started smoking.

#1 For the Map Lights, i ordered these in 6k 194 LED Bulb - 6 SMD LED Tower - Miniature Wedge Retrofit | Miniature Wedge Base LEDs | LED Car Light Bulbs | Super Bright LEDs

#2 For the door lights, i ordered the following, keep in mind, you can also use the ones i linked to above if you want to have them even brighter. 194 LED Bulb - 4 LED - Miniature Wedge Retrofit | Miniature Wedge Base LEDs | LED Car Light Bulbs | Super Bright LEDs

the first two bulbs fit into the license plate light, at least at the base. If you scroll through the images on the website, it'll show you the length of the bulb compared to stock. i don't think there's enough depth for a longer bulb than the ones i mentioned though.

I took some comparison pictures, i'll post them up soon. i tested the map light and door panel locations. i haven't tried swapping the Pfran license plate bulbs yet. Once i do, i'll post them up.

The PFran set I just got has the same problem - smoking door bulbs. I think he has a problem, then. I'm going to have to call.

I have a set I received about a week ago that I have not installed. Not really wanting to even F with it and just send it back...for the price I would expect a high quality not smoking junk.
