He stated that he is concidering not making the dome/map light modules anymore.

Hi Steven,
as much as I'd like to offer a group discount, the cost & work involved in making the modules don't lend themselves to dropping the price. It would be much like "making a small loss on each one, but making it up in volume"...
I do a LOT more business selling the various driver boards I have developed than the dome modules etc. I had run out of Luxeon LEDs a few weeks back and I had to do some serious thinking about whether to even bother ordering more or just to ditch the dome/maplight modules. To give you an idea, JUST the Luxeon LED costs me close to $10 and I had to buy 200 of them...

I will have them available. I did buy a whole bunch of Luxeons a few weeks ago so I'm committed to keep making and selling them till at least this batch of LEDs runs out. I just finished making 6 maplight modules and 7 dome modules.
Sure, I have no problem with the folk on ih8mud understanding the cost & time involved in building the modules. Didn't realize my stuff was that popular on ih8mud, I've been too busy to spend any time on that board the last year or so. Too many projects and too little time.
My website has all my other LED drivers. A lot of the stuff I do now are custom drivers for custom made flashlights. http://www.candlepowerforums.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php is where I spend a lot more time these days.

It sounds like he may stop making them after this batch. If you want them it sounds like now is the time. Just don't buy them all, I need three dome and a map light.
Since it was on the bang for the buck thread and pertain to 80's I posted it here.
