leaking oil pressure sending unit

Anyone had this problem. Not sure how it could be as the unit hasn't been pulled so no chance for crossthreading. Can it leak from inside the unit. any idea what a new one will cost, or if they are even available.

mine was dead and i replaced it with a plumbed Autometer pressure gauge. much more effective in terms of accuracy.

talk to john hocker for an OEM replacement. they aren't expensive i don't think.

It's normal for them to leak over time. The botom of it is ceramic, which will eventually crack. Best to fix it soon as if it blows, it will pump all your motor oil out
