Leak - Windshield Lower Molding?? (2 Viewers)

Have a water leak on a new-to-me 2000 LC. It looks like leak is under/through plastic molding at the base of the windshield on top of firewall, but I haven't seen anything in the forum with anyone having a similar problem.

Water drips into driver side floorboard behind hood latch.

Any chance I'm misdiagnosing it?

Would welcome input before I take off the molding to check.

Pretty hard to leak at the bottom cause the water would have to go up to get in. usually its the sides that leak because of the mouldings or poor installation of windshield
