Sounds like your birfs (cv joints) are worn. They’re knocking so loudly because you’re turning and they’re at an angle.

Sometimes you can move them from one side to the other and “fix” it. It’s worth a try. If you don’t want to do the job of opening the axles twice just get some new birfs.

@Aleksandre : what brands of grease are available in Batumi? If the grease level is low you can pump in some Molybdenum fortified (grey/black) grease to the steering knuckles, that might help decrease the noise.

If you don't know the abbreviation we use on the forum Birfs = Birfield type CV joint.

Here's a good video link on how to check the level of grease in your steering knuckles and add grease if needed:

As mentioned above, if you still have clicking after adding Moly grease then the CV joints may be worn. You can sometimes keep using them by switching them from one side of the axle to the opposite side (right side to left, left side to right), or just replace the CV joints while it's all apart (repeating above).

Here's a longer video that shows the complete process of servicing the Axle seals, hubs and wheel bearings, CV joints, etc:

Thank you for your reply .( Mobil 222 ) This grease is in knuckle. It cleaned and changed 1 month ago . No leaking . I think it is joints . Because yesturday i tried in H mode on the beach and heared this knocks without any Diff locks.

Thank you so much to all .

How many miles/kilometers on your 80 Series?

IME (in my experience) adding a high % Molybdenum (Moly) fortified grease (3-5% Moly) can eliminate the clicking if the CV joints are not severely worn.

237k miles on it . On the high way or in city it have not any clicks . Only under load .

What you can say about Mobil Grease XHP222.

It would do just fine.

If possible use a grease with molybdenum disulphide in it (moly) it has added lubrication that helps birfs.

Mobilgrease XHP222 "SPECIAL" has some moly in it if you can get it.

Mobil Grease XHP222 "SPECIAL" has 0.75% Moly. Not sure if that is enough. FSM doesn't specify percent as far as I can find.

I use Tractor Supply Extreme Duty 3% Moly Lithium Complex NLGI #2 Grease.

Data sheet shows 0% moly and no mention of moly in description. Find CV grease.
Loads of CVs get loaded with gear with no moly in it.

Ideally find one with moly, but if it's not available, the grease that was asked about will do just fine

A quick test/trial could be done by adding Loctite LB8012 (65% Moly paste/grease) or the equivalent into the current grease. IME the LB8012 is compatible
with Lithium based greases.

Example: put the LB8012 Moly into a syringe or squeeze tube of some sort then add it to the steering knuckles via the inspection ports, then top off the knuckles with your Lithium based grease. You might start with 2 ounces of the concentrated Moly paste/grease added to each knuckle then drive the vehicle to mix the extra Moly into the grease in the knuckles and CV joints,. It may take ?XX miles (and some turning) before it gets deep into the joints. If the Moly paste stops the clicking good deal, if not no harm done, just plan on a front axle service sooner rather than later.

Some might think "snake oil", but IME the extra Moly can stop clicking. FWIW

Tip: don't go near the interior of your vehicle with the grey/black Moly paste or get it on your clothes, etc, it will never come out.

FWIW
