I failed safety inspection because rear outer taillights were not working when i brake pedal is pressed.
But they are ON when i have the lights on, so i think the bulbs are okay. It just doesn't get brighter when i press the brake.
The shop wants to charge $170 to replace low beam bulb and 2 taillight bulbs. (VA tire & auto)

Is this a brake switch issue or fuse or bulb?

Thanks.

Does the 3rd brake light turn on?

if the others work a switch issue is ruled out ;-)

swap the bulbs

Sounds like a really simple fix but just to be on the safe side, swap out one of your inner park/brake bulbs with one of your outer park/brake bulbs and see if the outer brake lights are working to isolate a dodgy bulb that may not be visibly obvious.

The brake light bulbs you need is a 12V 21/5W wedge aka "7443" the LC100 has four of these.

As for your low beams check the bulbs are actually blown and it's not just a fuse.

The low beam bulbs are 12V 55W HB4 aka"9006" and you'll want two.

P/N for brake bulbs 90981-13044, and for low beam bulbs 90981-13017
