just recently, my lc100 feels like it wobbling in low speed feels like im riding a horse galloping. stock suspension 170k, didnt run over anything. everything seems straight. could it be i need new tires. the rear tires are a bit worn down. anyone had this feeling?

stock shocks at 170k miles? Replacing those is probably a good place to start. If you stand on a bumper and get the truck moving up and down, jump off, does it quickly come to a stop or does it keep moving up and down?

Other components like torsion bars and springs can wear over time but I bet you had one or more shocks with leaks and they just finally let go.

On the bright side you can get a set of OEM shocks for cheap, like around $150 or so for all 4.

will new oem shocks help with body roll? driving a 98 with 80,xxx
Thanks

I'd try swapping tires around and see if it changes. Is it shaking the steering wheel? Very warped brake rotors can cause some shaking even when not braking.

Shocks are way overdue if original (and rear coils), may not help with body roll, but will improve ride. For body roll you could try a few turns on the torsion bars and new rear coils.

i went to jump on my bumper during lunch time it stop almost immediately. i checked for leaking shocks. and no dice. could wheel bearing cause this. i just had the rear bearings and seals done 3 months ago

Sounds like you have a tire or more that could be out of round.
yeah this could be the ticket. the tires are pretty worn. and it just started happening this past weekend that i notices. very good excuse for me to change tires BFG KO2 here i come. and a nice alignment.

Play in the front wheel bearings can cause shaking. The bearings are due to be repacked every 30k miles. Easiest way to check is to lift the tire off the ground and move the wheel back and forth with hands at 9 & 3 position.

Worn out suspension parts can also cause free play and shaking.

Like LEX said above, its prob your tires. Possibly a belt shifted.

The truck would still roll down the road smoothly even if your axle nut isn't tight and theres play in the wheel bearing...

Sway bars are the primary controller of body roll. The LC/LX has considerable body roll but it is also a large, top heavy truck.

Glad you tracked it down to a bad tire. That's an easy fix!

now i have an excuse to get me some ko2 wanting for a while. i didnt know we have to refresh the coil springs over time. i guess i will order the lift and diff drop while im at it. woot woot. thanks everyone.

It's just money, you'll make more tomorrow.
