Here's my 62. 250K miles, new paint, rebuilt engine and trany, new rubber, new 31's, new MAF exhaust. I'll do the suspension in the spring, not sure how much lift or what brand yet. Hope I did this digital pic thing right. Thanks beaufort, that worked.

Well, I'm certainly not showin' and tellin' about mine after that!

Very nice.

Thanks for the comments....I don't get to here it much around here. "If you ain't drivin an American truck you are a communist"! Or....."If you like a Toyota so much, why don't you move over there"? Ignorance is bliss for some I guess!

Do you know how much primer, and paint and clear coat i need

I want to paint my truck(myself), but when i call to order the paint they ask me about thinner and reducer and hardner! I have no idea what i need.
Seriously so if anyone has a list from when they did theirs it would help me out.

great looking 62 :) its my favorite color combo on a 62......and yes I am bias as that is the same as we have, same miles also.....:)

steve-o, only one issue, the tailpipe bracket didn't line up, had to fab, not really a big deal. No leaks what so ever. Put the down tubes, "y" pipe and cats on loose then tightened up sorta like you would a oil pan or valve cover. that way it all lined up good and pulled together. Has a real nice "tone" also. I had to have a little fun so I drove it for a bit with just the cats on just to compare the sound and then with the "y" pipe. Talk about loud, I was thankful for the muffler!
Panama, I don't know enough to comment on your paint questions. I think they sprayed 3 coats of paint and 2 coats of clear on mine. Don't believe you need that much. Take that truck apart as much as possible if you really want a nice job. They took everything off of mine, trim, doors, rubber, literally everthing except the fixed windows. It looks nice in the pics but It looks even better up close in person. I've had a lot of body work done to a lot of vehicles and this is hands down the most satisfied that I have been with any job!!
Thanks again for the comments!!!

Glad to hear you like it, what did you have to fab with the bracket? You shouldnt have to do that at all. Did you notice any performance? Some people say yes definately, others say no not really. We all know there arent too many performance upgrades for the 3fe, hoping this helped a little. Without the placebo effect of course. Thanks for your feedback, your rig is extremely clean by the way, I made everyone hear come take a look at it. Consensus is in, everyone likes it!

89 or 90? My favorite color, too.

I hear ya on the commie thing. My family's from Iowa, and they weren't overly impressed with my selection. They all drive big turbo diesel V8 Ford/Chevy/whatever rigs that are 2 yrs old or less.

Zcruiser, mines a 1990. Funny u should mention the big truck, because I sold a beutifull F250, loaded to the max, great truck but i wanted to eliminate the depreciation and buy something that would hold it's value, behold the LC. Best move ever! Man this thing has so much more .......i don't know the word, maybe character or karma!! Now I just pull a utility trailer if I need to haul something! I'm really bustin at the seams for a good off road test!
Steve-o, I can definately feel some HP gain. The exhaust I replaced was not a high quality mandrel bent system, so yours really kicked it's ass!

Yes. Cruiser Karma. I like that.... Welcome to the champagne cruiser club, dude.

Definately a good looking rig.

As for my family, they are all into the gas efficient Fords, Hondas or VWs. Then there is that one uncle who supports big oil with his Suburbans, but mainly fuel efficiency in my family. I caught alot of flack for choosing a first car that gets around 10 mpg.
