My throw-out bearing chatters, my clutch studders, my rear main seal leaks, my transfer case linkage is seized, and my transmission rattles in 3rd and 4th like its about to fly apart under me. I've done what I could to remedy these situations, but I do not have the facilities to drop/rebuild a transmission and do a clutch-job. In short, I think it is time to find a shop.
Does anyone know of any good Land Cruiser mechanics or transmission/drive-line guys in the Northern DE, Kennet Square, West Chester, or Elkton, MD area? More importantly - do you know any of them who would be willing to work on a 350 SBC adapted to a Toyota 4-speed? Heck, I'll even settle for another FJ40 junkie who wants to share some knowledge and make some money on the side.
Any plugs for a good shop in the area would be helpful!
