Hi All,
new to this forum (driving a modified Grand Cherokee ZJ 5.2 V8).
I'm considering the LC 200 (2007-2009) as my new ride and overland platform.

When looking at the used toyota listings I learn the following:
1) most of Diesel engines were replaced at ~250,000 KM
2) very rare to find a petrol model (where i live - Israel).

whats the issue with the diesel V8? is it just the 'dusting' phenomena i read about or something else?
are there any issues with the petrol engine that needs to be checked?

many thx,

Aifer

Shabbat shalom. You might not get as many responses since a lot of the posters here are in North America, and the 5.7 petrol is the only engine available on the 200 series. There are a few folks on here from other parts of the world that may have more insights about the diesel. Good luck with your search.

Shabbat Shalom Charlie. Thx for the insights.
