LC 100 AC issues

Hi there

Brother has 1999 LC. Around 137 K miles on it.

Lately been having AC issues where it seems there is a gas leak.

Where are the trouble points with LC 100 AC ?

I had to replace the evaporator @ 154,000
Bought it from Toyota and had it installed.
Fix my leak.

You can check the O-rings at connections, and sometimes the rear lines will rust if you are in a place that gets rust. The best thing to do is evacuate and recharge with dye and check for leaks later. (Note the pounds coming out and the pounds going back in)

Also could be an issue if it's not properly filled (too much or too little).

Yes, I think.clean the filter first.

Sorry for the late reply,

First they recharged the system and put a green dye in it so I could spot where it was leaking from. It was coming out the tube on the pass. side firewall. That told them it was leaking from the evaporator. That cost me $76.21

I bought the evap from Toyota for $262.10 and the labor to install it and recharge the system was $291.42
The grand total was $629.73
Been working great and very cold as it should be.
