lawnmower help

Last year I sucked a small towel into the blades, the mower stopped cold and would not start. I thought I broke the crank or something evil like that
I did some research and discovered it could just be the key, that keeps the flywheel on the crank.
Took the cover and guard off and I see a red mark on the crank, that doesn't match where the key is. I am assuming I sheared it
Now I need to pull the flywheel. Does anyone have the correct way to pull the flywheel ?
16 hp Kohler Motor in a craftsman rider.

First you get a beer. Then you drink it. Then you follow that with 2-3 more, depending on strength. Once those take effect, find a big hammer...

Can someone explain to me what a lawnmower is?

I have not seen one of those since St. Louis where I had to cut nearly an acre of grass. I hated cutting but made for a nice excuse to drink beer while riding the mower.

It's a funny thing that cuts grass, but that's not important right now.

I have about 1 acre to cut, where I live. We have irrigation .. without a mower, it's really irritation
