I read the attached information. It is a sad truth that even if one battle is won another challenger will step up to try and close or restrict land use.

This type of thing is one reason I feel a need to see as much of the Nevada back country as I can as soon as possible.

Exactly! That is the best thing about this state!!!!(except for being able to get married in the middle of the night, buy a SKS, 1000 rounds and a bottle of whiskey all in about 15 minutes.....not that I condone marriage, shooting and drinking all at the same time)

GET OUT THERE AND SEE AS MUCH AS YOU CAN WHILE IT STILL LASTS!

Having grown up here sometimes I take the 24/7 wide open nature of our state for granted.

I remember being in a bar in Oregon back in the 70's and I didn't know what "Last Call" was.

I know what you mean. When I was in San Diego this last time, I completely forgot about the dreaded "last call" and was not happy!

What's this "last call" you guyz speak of?!
Its ONE of the BEST things about 4 wheeling...Some of the most beautiful scenery you can take in, for the price of a tank of gas, and lodging with all your friends complete with their own seperate quarters (for the most part) free.
Its just amazing to me that the greenies always have to be a "buzz kill", but even more than that, how quickly the govornment sides with them. I dont quite understand the incentive for them to jump on board like they do. One person whines and complains...RESTRICTIONS!
Just ask Fallon Dan about that and his neighbors.

I think it's because the vast majority of people experience nature from the parking lot while sitting in their RV. Right now relatively few people actually go out and travel in the areas that the conservationist are trying to close. (Of course this is the biggest attraction for many of us.)

It's pretty easy to get on-board with closing an area you have never seen or have any desires to see. Especially when the fanatical conservationist are telling you how the evil, beer swilling, gun toting, red neck, bunny stampers are destroying it.

So the greenies wind up with the numbers on their side.

Now thats a good point that I didnt think of! Classic media defamation.
Even more so, the quad runners and dirt bikers dont seem to have a CLUE about ecological responsibility. Ive seen more of them blazing trails then I have truck/ suv wheelers. Prime example...Deer Valley last year when we were going thorugh the gate keeper...Those 2 A$$HOLES couldnt wait for ONE RIG to get through...They had to go off thorugh the forest edge.

That is a big complaint from these people trying to close the lands; not staying on designated trails.
