Lavender Canyon, Moab/Canyonlands area

Hey all,
We're planning a trip out to Moab in October and are in the process of putting together a trail list. We've got a couple newbie’s with us that want to go "off roading" so we want to break them in easy. I tried to convince them poison spider mesa was a good start, but the wife said that trying to kill them wasn’t a good idea.

So, looked thru the book and found Lavender Canyon. Looks very beautiful and pretty tame. Anyone done it? Looking for a good trail report, map, picts, gps WPs would be great...

If you can stand a few kid pics and mabey a few jeep picks i have a few up on birfield.com . Lavender is a great run , you would be hard pressed to find a bad trail (view wise ) anywhere in Moab .

Thanks for the info. I think i found the pictures. It looks like it will be a beautiful trail. Anyone have any gps or trail reports?
