Hey guys, My truck has started to wobble while stopping. I am not sure if this problem is with the steering knuckle bearings or wheel bearings? When I am driving on the highway, the ride is smooth. Also, this problem occurs only when the car has been driven for a while, not when it is driven a few miles on city roads. Anyone had this problem? I see the kits for each type of beatings are $100. Any suggestions?

i had a similar problem once. i didnt bleed the lines correctly( wrong pattern) and so the fronts were taking all the load. after they get hot how is your stopping? and do you smell them. anyways if the rotors are new id try rebleeding them. could just still be air in the lines

I think you want to eliminate things that are loose or worn. I'd jack up the front and check brake caliper mounting bolts, top and bottom knuckle studs, lug nuts, wheel bearings and knuckle bearings. Also of course look at the rotor and pads while you are in that area.

One day, not long after buying my cruiser and after doing a few hundred miles (including a 4WD park) I was just pulling up to turn into my driveway when I lost all gearing (just like I had the clutch in). When I got out of my cruiser (now parked in the driveway) I looked at the passenger rear wheel to see that all the wheel nuts were gone and the wheel was resting on the hub (mine has the full floater).
The PO had some work done on the rear brakes before I bought it and his mechanic must not have tightened the wheelnuts!!!

Ssoooo, first thing I would do is check your wheelnuts and then jack up each end and check for play in the wheels.
