I am trying to find some late-model parts, not vehicle specific. LKQ only seems to ever have old junk, the one "nice" yard on Poole (?) were total jerks. Is there anywhere within an hr or so of the Triangle - or hell, even in the Triad? - that has late model vehicles and at least allows you to look at them or pull your own parts?

Yeah, LKQ in Garner had an 80 in the "waiting" section and I talked to a guy who said it would be moved in in a week or so. I paid my $2 each week for a month and it never went into the public area, however it's not on their lot anymore...

Joe there are several here in winston. Also, I got some random parts for you as well.

these guys had a 96 a few weeks ago. It was nice and clean but is now missing a steering knuckle assy and the sliding rear window so its open to the elements now. Motor and tranny were pulled but may be on a rack there somewhere. no dash cluster but otherwise clean and complete. NEW trailer hitch.

Jason, thanks this is great info! Do these yards have newer model vehicles, e.g. vehicles made in the late 90's and 2000's? I am not looking exclusively for Cruiser parts, but any yard w/ Cruisers is +++. :)

yes, they sure do. probably in the order of picknpull, american auto salvage, and upull but they all have all makes, years, models.

The price for the guys at american auto salvage to pull was pretty much a no brainer. pull your own knuckle for 60 or they pull it (and all associated/bolted on parts) for 80 bux :D
