Anyone interested in an end-of-season day of wheeling next Sat or Sunday?

I figure the 23 & 24th are about it before the holiday bedlam begins.

I am game for anywhere within 2 hours (or so) of Boston: Western Mass or southern NH/ME/VT. I have some knowledge of roads western and central Vt, otherwise its just the trials around Monadonck.

Anyone?

Hunting season in Vermont and some of the roads are closed

Any more trails in the NH area near "Hell's Gate" Gary?
Would be willing to set up something with an NEA property once we're out of the hospital if there's enough interest.

Did you mean Devil's pass ? Your excused Bob. Thanksgiving is a bad weekend. Maybe the next weekend?

So you thinking weekend of Dec 7th or 8th? 8th is doable for me.

Ha ha, ya. Devil's pass, Hell's gate... What's the difference ; )

What about Mabell. That one is open to public. I haven;t been up there in years. Used to be a fun trail in Western Mass right down the road from the Summit

Mabell isn't really worth driving a distance to since technically the end of the trail is at the top if the hill. Fun to play around if local but won't keep a group busy for a day trip

Gotcha. I don't really remember the trail. The Summit was a short trail but took most of the day with 5 trucks.

I am subscribed and might be able to make it out

Maybe we could get F&F to open for a day or weekend, I'd be in for 23rd 24th, could probably get a small group together,,,????:steer:

That may be a good option. I have no problem tossing in some $ if need be. I think i saw a post that the water is shut-off for season, but perhpas not a show stopper.

As Gary noted the next few weeks are peak hunting season. In Mass no hunting Sundays (not sure about other states).

As for when to make it happen, I'm pretty flexible....
Open:
23 & 24Nov
31Nov & 01Dec (Thanksgiving weekend)
08Dec

I went to the Summit last Saturday with a group. Depending on Jay's schedule that might be an option.

You mean the trail has been shorten?

Spoke with Bob, he said if there was enough interest he may open the gates of FnF one more time this season on Saturday.

If your interested post up.

FnF has really no trails for stock plus.
If someone wanted to put something together for LMFT that's an option.
I am unable to attend with my on call schedule and my new one at home.

Is field and forest "Gretchens" . Location of fall gathering. If not then where abouts?
