Hi All,

Does anyone have ideas of largest tires with no mods or tweeking, that I can put on a 1999 SR5 4X2 without a lift? I believe the stock size tires are 225/75-15.

Trying to get my son a decent truck without spending tons of money, on this truck he's ridden in since he was a baby.

Sentimental reasons. :)

Thanks in advance!

Same size tires as a 4x4 I would imagine, since they share frames and suspension. 31x10.5 R 15 with the 15 inch wheel or 265/75R/16 with a 16" would be just fine.

I don't see the need for anything larger, though it does seem to be the trend these days to stuff oversized tires on SUVs. Looks stupid, IMO.

Thank you for your reply. It looks like since we have 15 inch rims, the largest I may be able to go are 235/75R15.

Your 15 inch rims are wide enough to accommodate 31" tires. Pretty sure the tire companies wouldn't have a problem with this fitment. That size would be largest "stock" found on this model. 235s would provide better performance though as they're more appropriately sized for your gearing.

Thank you for the reply and information. Got the Falken Wildpeak A/T3W's on my son's rig and it's looking good!
